Looking Ahead
The Carolina Forest varsity Lady Panthers have put in the work to get where they are. Practicing every day has set the team up for a successful turnout in regional play. The games ahead for the Panthers will be South Florence, Conway, and Sumter home and away and West Florence. Porter- Gaud Academy will also travel to Carolina Forest to play the Panthers, but that isn't in regional play. The Panthers' last game will be at home against the rival Conway Tigers. This is the last regional game and senior night. Tempers will flare as the last game for many of the Panthers is decided in a heated rivalry.
A season in Review
The Varsity Cheerleading season is coming to an end. The team has worked hard to get as far as they have, and they definently deserve our support. The girls competed at four competitions throughtout the month of october, and though they didnt come in first place at any of those competitions they all know that they did their best and under the circumstances they were in, where every competition someone differnet was sick or had quit the team, they did great. Their season ends at the last varsity baskestball game of the season, so come out and support the panther cheerleadwers and basketball players for a great 2011-2012 season, and dont forget to try out in spring if you interested contact head coach Megan Beattie!

Season Recap
So far, the Lady Panthers of Carolina Forest are 7-7 this season under Head Coach Stacy Hughes. The Panthers could have pulled out a couple more victories over mediocre teams such as the Socastee Braves to put them above .500 this season. However, they can't turn back now and with their turning point in the season on the line some seniors on the team are speaking up. Center Marissa Simons says, "We need this win against Porter- Gaud Academy to get us back on the winning streak." The Panthers will need this win to help set up an end of the season run to improve the record book and their chances in regional play.
Disappointing Loss
The Carolina Forest varsity Lady Panthers suffered a tough loss against Socastee last night (Thursday January six). The Panthers are looking to rebound from their loss as they take on Porter- Gaud Academy tomorrow, Saturday January seven. The game will be played at one o' clock at Porter- Gaud Academy in Charleston. Coach Hughes and the Lady Panthers will be looking for win number eight.

Winter Orchestra Concert
On December 15, the Carolina Forest Orchestra and band performed their holiday concert. The students showed up in their tuxedos and performed marvelously. “The students performed very well and I am very proud of all of them,” Mr. Harward said. Perhaps the greatest part of the concert was when the band and the orchestra came together for a performance of “Sleigh Ride”.
